I'm a CFY in a school and I have an upcoming 3year re-eval. The student only has about 3 existing goals on his IEP from last year. One is artic (/l/) and the other two I'm having trouble deciding how to evaluate..
They pretty much have to do with slower speaking rate, staying on topic during conversations, not blurting out while others are talking, and respecting others personal space. These seem pretty subjective..do I just informally test these skills? How would I go about doing that?
Also, because he doesn't have any language goals (meaning rec/exp stuff) from his last IEP..do I not even need to worry about that for the re-eval? Only focus on evaluating the areas he's been working on?
It kind of seems like the stuff he's working on (besides artic) can be done with the social worker, who sees kids in groups for conversation and social skills..
