GPA from undergrad vs. grad program

Hello all.

I've been out of undergrad for a couple years now, and my undergrad GPA is not stellar - it's a 3.36. However, I was in a physical therapy masters program for a year (dropped out for various reasons), and my GPA was pretty good - about a 3.7. Would SLP programs take this into consideration, or is my undergrad GPA going to put a damper on my application?

Have you taken your prereqs yet? Many of the schools will look at various iterations of your GPA and not just over-all.

In your application, you can go ahead point out how your performance in grad school improved. The main reason for wanting you to have a high GPA is that they want to know that you'll be able to cut it academically, but you don't need to be a 4.0 student to be accepted: there are a lot of other things that can round out your application.
